The Big Messages is part of the Ida Institute’s Vision 2020 project that looks at the future of hearing healthcare around the world. The Big Messages Video Competition aims to promote this initiative through social media channels and help create an awareness and appreciation of hearing that will resonate with global audiences.

The Ida Institute is an independent non-profit organization working to foster a better understanding of the human dynamics of hearing loss. We are located in Denmark and funded by a grant from the Oticon Foundation.

Through seminars, workshops, focus groups, think tank meetings, and forum discussions, we engage our global community of more than 10,000 members to create awareness about the human aspects of hearing loss. All of our work is freely shared and available on our website.

The success of Ida initiatives like the Big Messages depends upon ongoing collaboration and co-creation with hearing care professionals from around the world. Our collaborative process engages, motivates, and inspires and is at the core of all we do. It enables us to create an environment that encourages creativity and collaboration among people with different backgrounds and specializations.

Our website is also an open, collaborative space where we invite people to share knowledge, information, and resources. There, people can access tools that provide practical, easy-to-use strategies to open communication and engage patients in the self-management of their hearing loss. By better understanding the needs and wishes of patients, and incorporating their needs into the rehabilitation process, these tools can help increase patient satisfaction, encourage patient collaboration, and help lead to better outcomes.
